1956 - The first Company in Kenya to start the manufacture of Wax Candles.

This was started in 1956 and it was not till the year 1968 when other companies moved into the manufacture of this product. 

1959 - The first Company to start the manufacturing of Floor Polish.

It was the first Company to start the manufacturing of Floor Polish way back in 1959 and the “Lordex” water proofing compound in 1960. Before moving into this production, all local based consumption of these products was through importation especially from the United Kingdom (U.K.)

First Company to start the production of neon and perspex advertising products

It was the first Company to start the production of neon and Perspex advertising products through a sister company that was then fully owned by RH Devani Limited – Pelican Signs Limited- the Company still continues to be owned by a family member of Ramji Haribhai Devani..

1966 - First company to start the manufacture of wood preservative

It was the first Company in Kenya to start the manufacture of wood preservative in 1966.

1998 - Commercial Recycling of plastic and polythene wastes.

As recently as 1998 it was the first company to start Commercial Recycling of plastic and polythene wastes.

The first company to start commercial farming of mushrooms

The first company to start commercial farming of mushrooms in godown environment in Kenya.

1980s - Inception of RHD Petroleum

These are the years we introduced petroleum to RHD traditional business

1990s - Enhanced Manufacturing

To-date we continue to improve our production even as we respond to the dynamics of the market. This far we have introduced new amazing products.
